Apostle Abraham Lincoln Angoh area Apostle of the church of Pentecost, Bompata area, , has appealed to Ghanaians to help maintain a clean environment.
He said a clean environment would prevent an outbreak of diseases and also save government of the funds it allocated to tackling sanitation problems in the country.
The Apostle talk to Silver FM's Akwadaa Nyame during a clean-up exercise at Asafo,a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
He said the exercise was part of the chairman of the church Apostle Eric Nyamekye's launch of environmental care campaign in the country to get rid of filth.
He also added that clean-up exercise would be organized every month.
He said the sanitation problem was very costly and that if Ghanaians joined hands in fighting it, funds channeled to that direction by government could be used for other developmental projects which would be of benefit to all.
He then advised all to keep their environment clean so as to prevent outbreak of communicable diseases in their various communities.
The Assembly member of Fante New Town electoral area, Hon Morrison Jangana commended the church for their hardwork and advised them to make sure they wore gloves and nose masks when working.
He also urge other churches and all stakeholders to do same by helping government and the KMA to achieve their goal of making Kumasi clean and green.
